How I work...
I provide a safe environment for clients to share their feelings and be truly authentic. We work closely together to determine goals that are comfortable and move you in the direction that you would like to go. I work with you in a style that suits your needs, whether you prefer a more talkative approach or a more mindful approach. We work together!
I utilize a combination of therapeutic approaches to help support my clients. We can do “talk therapy”, CBT, or Brainspotting. We can even do a walk and talk session, if that feels right to you! About me...
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. I graduated with my Bachelors in Child Development from California State University Northridge and my Masters in Social Work from University of Social California. For many years I worked for Los Angeles Unified School District as a Psychiatric Social Worker. I worked with students and family’s from diverse populations with a wide range of needs. For many years I supported family’s with young children transition in the school district receiving special education. I became well versed in special education laws and writing Individualized Educational Plans. Over the course of my career I’ve worked with kids of all ages from preschool age all the way through high school!
After many years working with children, my passion for helping parents began to flourish. I decided to expand my career by opening a private practice supporting women’s mental health and teaching Parent and Me classes. I believe that parents need community for support while also learning practical tools to manage this time of transition.
My love of helping people continues to grow as I live and learn. My personal life experiences and my vast professional experiences have helped me develop my expertise which give me a strong platform to assist people to live the life they want to live.
